Saving Endangered Species Int’l Playwriting Prize (SES Prize) is seeking 10-minute plays where writers will chose one or more species (Mammals, Birds, Reptiles, Amphibians, Fish, Flora & Fauna, or Invertebrates) as listed with CITES, the World Wildlife Fund, or other organizations that lists endangered species. The species must be integral to the plot.  8-10 plays will be chosen for a Staged Reading at a California theatre in Fall 2016, with an award of $100usd for each play.  The audiences’ “ticket” will be a donation to a specified non-profit Wildlife Conservancy.  aims to get people talking about, and doing something about, saving our endangered species. 

Plays may be comedic, dramatic or for young audiences (performed by adult actors).  No adaptations or musicals and with a maximum of 4 actors.  One submission per playwright.  Plays must be in English, or have been translated into English.  Previously produced plays are accepted but published plays are not.
