Filmmaking teams from throughout Nairobi successfully completed a weekend of filmmaking. From 21st – 23rd of November 2014, nearly 300 filmmakers took up the 48 Hour Film Project Challenge and hit the streets of Nairobi to produce a film in only 48 hours. From TV & Film veterans filming on high end HD cameras to High School students filming on an iPhone, 48HFP brought them all together for one cause; to make movies. Films were due on 23 November and the last few minutes before the deadline saw filmmakers, operating on little sleep and lots of adrenaline, rushing to get their films in on time. 
 
The premier screenings for The 48 Hour film Project Nairobi 2014 will take place on the 3rd and 4th of December. 19 films produced for the competition will premier to the open public at the newly refurbished Planet Media Cinemas – Prestige Plaza. Tickets are selling for 300 bob and for 2 hours ,6.30pm-9pm, audiences will escape into a world of ‘never before seen’ Kenyan Stories. Film Noir, Film De Femme, Musicals, Thrillers, Silent Films and obviously Comedy – a few of the genres that will be featured during the show.
