Phone Review: Infinix Hot 2 X510
What’s in the box?
The box is pretty standard, coming with the phone, charger, battery and earphones.
Design and Display
The Hot 2 has an ample screen size at 5 inches. The phone is also pretty light in hand which is great for those of us who aren’t fans of lanky phones. The phone is available in a sleek black and a white option. The screen resolution is a pretty good 1280 X 780 pixels which looks good on the 5 inch screen. .
Sim Card
As with most phones in this range, it’s a dual sim. It is worth noting that the sim is a micro sim.
Memory and OS
The Hot 2 runs on Android 5.1 and is part of the Android One program which will see smartphones receive an automatic update to the latest version of Android straight from Google when it becomes available. With 1GB RAM, 16GB of memory that is expandable up to 32GB, and a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, the phone is pretty decent as far as smartphones go.
Camera
The main camera is 8MP (and comes with flash) with the front being 2MP. The main camera is good but those who are mad about selfies may not be very pleased with the 2MP front camera. Though to be honest, for that price range that is actually better than most.
Connectivity
The phone is capable of accessing both 2G and 3G. It also has the option of WiFi. I didn’t experience any issues as far as connectivity was concerned.
Battery
The battery is a 2200mAh Li-Ion battery and can last for about a day with average use.
Where is it available?
The Infinix Hot 2 is currently only available on the Jumia online store. Buying online can be an issue if you are in urgent need of a phone so it’s best to plan to wait if you are interested in getting this phone.
Verdict
The Hot 2 is another winner from Infinix. They have proved to be able to offer quality at very pocket friendly prices and there is no doubt that the Hot 2 will be just as popular as their other offerings.
