One of the things I learned last year was how to take my time. I was conditioned to always be at the top right from childhood and to strive for perfection. This ended up developing into anxiety that became harder to shake off over the years. I relentlessly comapred myself to my peers who I felt were doing better than me and wondered why I wasn’t succeeding fast enough. Needless to say, it ended up hurting my progress as I spent more time worrying and fretting than getting the work done. Towards the end of 2016, I reaalized that I was at a really good place. I had stopped keeping up with the Jonnsess and was doing me. I am content moving at my own pace and I know I will get there when I’m meant to. It’s the most freeing thing to live life on my chosen rhythm and to focus on enjoying my journey. Take your time, you’ll get there.
