Blankets & Wine set the stage and standard for festivals in Kenya and has grown over the years to hold events across East Africa. This December, Good Times Africa, the parent company that runs Blankets & Wine, will hold the festival in Nairobi on 10th December and on 17th December in Kampala and Kigali.

Some of the artistes expected for B&W include: Shekhinah (South Africa), Niniola (Nigeria), Sauti Sol (Kenya), Charly & Nina (Rwanda), Rabadaba (Uganda) and Kelissa (Jamaica). Other notable performances will be by Maia & the Big Sky, Benon and Vampos, AKA Dope Band, Izaya & Friends, Bero, Mwiza, Moiyze, Kiki Toure, Methusela, Eli Nihloxica, Odinareh Bingwa, Barak Jaccuzzi, Vallerie Muthoni, Dave Ndegwa and Berracah.

I’m most looking forward to Shekhinah and Niniola. Shekhinah has had a big year with her hit, ‘Suited’ while Niniola has been climbing the charts with her hits, ‘Sicker’ and ‘Maradona’.

The B&W in Kenya will feature performances by Kelissa, Shekhinah, Niniola, Maia & the Big Sky, Odinareh Bingwa, Barak Jacuzzi, Vallerie Muthoni, Berracah and Dave Ndegwa.

Blankets & Wine runs from 12:00 noon to 10:00pm at Uhuru Gardens in Nairobi. Tickets are going for Ksh 3,000 and Ksh 3,500 with brunch and are available here.
