We did it! Muthoni Gitau and I hosted our first Zeda Craft and Sip and it was a great time. The turnout was good for our first and it also being Valentine’s weekend. Still, it went really well. If you’d like to read more about the why around the Zeda Craft and Sip event, you can read a post I wrote about it here.

Highlights of Zeda Craft and Sip

The venue was a big yes. I am so glad we went with Two Grapes and we will definitely continue to host the event there. The service was great, food and drinks were delicious and the ambiance just hit all the right notes for what we were going for.

We made 3 crafts: a pompom yarn bookmark, a greeting card and affirmation mirror. I knew it was going to be a great time but I didn’t expect everyone to be so involved in the craftmaking and actually want to do a good job. There were some really impressive crafters in the building who went all out!

We played a Q&A game and bonded and it actually ended up being a women’s conference of sorts. Everyone was so open and warm and it ended up being so wonderful.

What Next?

The feedback from the women who attended was an overwhelming yes to this and so we are already planning our next edition to be held tentatively on Sunday April 14th, so look out for that.
