March 20th – An Ode
A chance to begin again,
To analyze and contemplate,
The days gone by,
And those yet to come.
To dust the dirt off,
To wash the sweaty face,
To change the stained sweater,
And buy new shoes.
To envision a new chapter,
To draw strength from within,
To cut off the unnecessary,
And hold close the wonderful.
To remember the beautiful songs,
Sing loudly and laugh louder,
Like a hyena or a howling wolf,
And not feel any shame.
To forgive myself,
To stand my ground,
To find balance like the sun,
Making its arrival at the equator.
A chance to begin again,
To analyze and contemplate,
The days gone by,
And those yet to come.
To dust the dirt off,
To wash the sweaty face,
To change the stained sweater,
And buy new shoes.
To envision a new chapter,
To draw strength from within,
To cut off the unnecessary,
And hold close the wonderful.
To remember the beautiful...

Good work! Now something from my diary. Last year went to a friends graduation ceremony in one of those obscure funny name church based colleges in athi-river. Was puzled by why the event was taking place in a bar/restaurant rather than the chuo. For entertainment they had a group of six similarly dressed girls doing what amounted to uncoordinated leg and torso gyrations with an occasional shiek wich sounded more of pain rather than jubilation. When the ceremony started the dean/pastor of the college took his seat in the centre of the room and he had this facial expression which im sure he thougt looked spiritual with a dose of authority but which to me seemed to revejal gastric pains and constipation ……this thing is 5pages long and the diary is dog eared from regular daily uploads. Unataka more?
Hey James! It does sound interesting. Do you have a blog I can check out?
I’m impressed you should think of something like that
