I returned to Lotos Inn & Suites for lunch and a fun shoot with my friend, fashion blogger, Vonette Orinda. I enjoyed myself the last time we were there for lunch at The Garden Restaurant & Bar and wanted to experience the rest of the hotel.

About Lotos Inn & Suites

Lotos Inn & Suites is situated on Mpaka Road in Westlands opposite Oshwal Primary School and adjacent to West Point and has been around since 2016. Featuring 66 well designed, spacious, fully furnished, luxurious serviced suites with a modern open living style, Lotos Inn & Suites also has a modern conference and meeting and a rooftop restaurant, bar and lounge.

There are 3 room options available: Standard Suite, Executive Suite and Parkview Suite. The rooms are airy with a modern finishing. All rooms are equipped with telephone, kitchenette, dining table, electronic safe, refrigerator, hair dryer, bathroom, tea/coffee maker, free high speed Wifi, satellite TV and balcony. The Standard Suite is Ksh 8,000 per night for a single and Ksh 9,500 for a double, while the Parkview Suite is Ksh 9,000 per night for a single and Ksh 10,500 for a double. The Executive Suite is 2 bedrooms and is Ksh 19,000 per night.

Parkview Suite

My room was on the 5th floor of the hotel and it was well worth it because the view from the glass elevator shows off the beautiful décor of the  hotel. I got to experience the Parkview Suite and enjoyed my room. The suite has all the amenities you require in a room, but my favourite thing is the view of the Oshwal tennis court and I spent quite a bit of time on the balcony enjoying it and the wine from the mini bar.

The Garden Restaurant & Bar

The Garden Restaurant & Bar is on the 6th floor of the hotel . As I had mentioned in my last review, they serve mostly Chinese cuisine, though they do also offer continental dishes. They updated the menu and I must say it’s a large one, so picking what to have for lunch was a bit of task, though a fun one. Since I had a date, Vonette and I were able to pick a variety of dishes, which is one of the reasons I love Chinese cuisine as it’s made to share. We had the lamb ribs, gong  bao chicken, spicy tofu and vegetable rice and washed it all down with wine.

The Shoot

I was there for a fun shoot and it was a way to challenge myself in the new year especially as my birthday approached. It was definitely a challenge but it was a good time and I gained a lot of shoot experience. I’m really excited about debuting my vlog and kicking off this exciting chapter of my creative life.
