Gilad Live
The first time I heard the infectious track ‘Unajua’, I thought it was perhaps by an already established Kenyan artiste as the sound was familiar. When I heard the track was by an artiste by the name Gilad and featured Wendy Kimani, I was stumped. I knew Wendy Kimani from Tusker Project Fame but was at a complete loss who Gilad was. All I knew was that I really liked the song and I wasn’t alone as the song received massive radio airplay. I was incredibly surprised when the video came out and Gilad turned out to be Israeli!

Gilad Millo, a former Israeli diplomat, cemented his place on Kenya’s music scene with his second single ‘Sema Milele’. ‘Gilad Live’ will be Gilad’s first public concert since entering the Kenyan music industry with a splash in April 2015. The live concert to be held on Saturday April 2nd at the Water front lawn, Race Course, is a charity event from which all proceeds will go to support Israel For Africa’s (IFA) Youth Empowerment Program in Kenya.

The concert will feature guest artistes who will perform for free as their contribution towards this initiative: DJ Pierra, Wendy Kimani, Juliani, Ammi, Dela, H_art The Band, Eric Wainaina, DJ Wesley and the Anchor band “SUPERBAND”. For every Ksh.50,000 raised, IFA supports a youth group with a drip irrigation kit that comes with everything required for a season of growing and training.

Advance regular tickets are Ksh. 800 with advance VIP tickets going for Ksh. 2000. Tickets can be purchased here. The concert will kick off at 7pm.
