It’s been one of those weeks that has made me want to curl up in bed and sleep till 2017. However, I only slept in for a day instead of 300 and got up to sort the several messes that had decided to fall on my face. One of the tough things about being in charge of anything is taking responsibility for failures. The buck stops with you and under no circumstances can you shirk your responsibilities. It can be a mortifying experience having to take the blame for someone else who is working under you but you can’t grow as a leader if you’re not willing to do so. It feels violently unnatural because the human response is to go, “It wasn’t me” and point the finger, so it definitely gets some getting used to.

I am not complaining though, it’s a great albeit challenging growth curve but it’s fantastic in that you learn a lot about yourself. If you stay open to learning from failure, the road to success gets easier. It’s all about having a positive attitude.
