Thoughts on the Week #12 – Build The Future

The uncertainty of the future can have us seeking comfort in the past. Don’t spend too much crying over what you’ve lost. Over the things you didn’t get. The things you didn’t accomplish. Don’t let your heart ache forever over people that rejected you. Life is too beautiful to spend on things and people you have no control over and only cause you heartache and pain. This is obviously easier said than done, but it’s a huge part of learning to live a life where you are an active rather than a passive participant. It’s a terrible existence to live only in reaction to others, never making your own way but deciding based on other people’s actions and decisions.

Yearning for things of the past is paralyzing and dishonest. There is a reason that is the past. Build the future. The only person you can control is yourself. Focus on your own growth and happiness and allow life to teach you the lessons you need to move forward and live a life you can be proud of.
